July's Topic
"T'ai Chi for KIDS"

T'ai Chi Chih means “Joy thru Movement“. It is a gentle, moving, meditation with many health benefits. T'ai Chi is known for strengthening balance, increasing energy, and decreasing stress. It consists of 19 movements and a pose. People with arthritis report improvements from practicing Tai Chi, as do people with Parkinson’s. UCLA has adopted T'ai Chi Chih for research studies. It has been demonstrated to increase immunity for seniors, help relieve insomnia, and decreases symptoms of depression.
Siobhan Hutchinson will be our guest presenter for this month’s meeting about Tai Chi. Siobhan created Next Step Strategies to educate and encourage individuals to discover their body's natural healing ability. Siobhan has a Master’s Degree in Holistic Health, and is an accredited T’ai Chi Chih®, Seijaku, Guigen Qigong, Reiki Master/Teacher, and Certified Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner. She has studied in China and continues her studies with a variety of holistic practitioners. Her passion is stress relief and walking in serenity.
