The Hodia Parent Program will add an afternoon forum onto Hodia Kids Camp, in an effort to help our campers’ parents learn what their child’s experience at Hodia was like! Kids Camp will run as usual; however we will include an afternoon program for those families who register. Parents/caregivers and siblings of our campers will be invited to register and attend the Kids Camp Parent Day starting at 10:00am on Saturday, August 2rd and ending at 3:00pm.
Throughout this program, parents will be able to sit down with Hodia camp counselors and medical staff to ask questions, to discuss topics pertinent to having a pre-teen or teenager with diabetes, to learn about Hodia’s approach to diabetes care, to network with other parents of youth with diabetes, and to experience the fun of camp. Campers’ siblings will have the opportunity to enjoy a slice of the fun activities of camp as well!
Even if you attended the Hodia Parent Program last year, we encourage you to come again this year. Each year, the content will update as your child grows up! This will be a meaningful and fun experience for all participants.
