This month:
Intro to Thai Massage
12 - 1:30 pm

A nurturing, comforting blend of assisted stretching, compression, rocking and jostling movements that is very relaxing yet energizing, meditative and hypnotic. Thai Yoga Massage facilitates healing and improves flexibility, mobility and range of motion. Beneficial for yoga students as well as athletes and anyone who is in a "repetitive movement" line of work, and those who suffer from chronic tension or stiffness, or who simply want a wonderful way to relax. Appropriate for any level of flexibility.  Kick back and relax while your partner stretches your body for you ~ Feel completely pampered, rested and rejuvenated. The giver will learn to do the techniques with minimal impact on their own body, but will also receive a light workout in the process!  Each person will receive about 40 minutes, and we will go over some tips to make the most beneficial session for both giver and receiver.  Please wear comfortable yoga or workout-type of clothes, and bring a thick blanket and pillow.

Nita Keesler LMT has been a nationally certified massage therapist since 1994, and is a member of the ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals). Nita thrives on expanding her knowledge and education and has also been a part-time massage therapy instructor since 2001. She offers Thai Massage/Assisted Stretching with a Deep Tissue ‘flair’, Reiki and Canine Massage, OnSite Corporate Massage and Wellness Workshops on Posture & Flexibility, Stress Relief, Couple’s Massage, Thai Massage/Assisted Stretching and YogaDance.

Kirtan Chanting
                    4:30-5:30 pm

 	 Kirtan

Kirtan is a form of Indian call-and-response devotional singing which has gained significant popularity in the West. We will sing mantras (sound vibrations) in the ancient, sacred language of Sanskrit. The repetition of these mantras cultivates love, acceptance, connection, and clarity. Everyone is welcome and no singing experience is necessary. Come join the joyful noise!

Robin Renée‘s kirtan concerts find new and traditional sounds to evoke stillness, bliss, and a sense of Oneness with All. Already a longtime songwriter and performer, in 2001 Robin found herself in the midst of a spiritual deepening that brought with it her blossoming into the fusion of music and spirit. She has since shared the stage with some of the world’s best-loved kirtan singers including Krishna Das, Girish, Wynne Paris, and Dave Stringer. She has recorded 5 albums.  At a live event today, Robin can be found performing an alt-folk solo acoustic set, collaborating with others, or leading group chanting at festivals, in yoga spaces, and in other welcoming venues. Fortunate to have grown up in a home where spiritual exploration was a given, at age nine she, along with her parents, had the opportunity to meet, listen to, and even attend beach yoga sessions with Ram Dass. First with family and later on her own, Robin became acquainted with meditation, dream study, energywork, and other practices of wisdom and healing that continue to inform her life and work. Her personal spiritual path embraces what moves her most directly, and includes elements of Zen Buddhism, Hinduism and Bhakti Yoga, Eclectic Pagan ritual and celebration, a love of science and reason, and awe of life’s beauty and mystery.
