MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA OF ILLINOIS PRESENTS:

Self-Care Energy Techniques to Prevent Mental Health Provider Burnout

Presented by:

Molly Coeling, LMT, RMT, MPH

Mental health practitioners frequently find themselves facing stress and energy burnout. As such, knowledge of techniques which promote wellbeing and allow for optimal care of patients can be crucial. Practices such as Reiki are energetically based and holistic in nature, and promote mental balance, reduce stress and support the immune system. In addition, they help to relieve a variety of emotional, psychological, and physical ailments including anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, and pain.

Objectives:

  • Be able to explain the concept of your personal energy system
  • Understand how you typically manage your energetic boundaries in the context of work with clients/patients/colleagues
  • Learn and practice techniques to help maintain healthy energetic       boundaries, prevent burnout, and promote longevity

The cost for this workshop is $30.00. 2 CEUs are available for Social Workers and Professional Counselors. Discounted Parking ($16) is located at 20 E. Randolph (Macy’s Parking Garage).
