Join celebrated designer Amy Butler and creative guru Val Wells for a relaxing artistic retreat at the House of Metolius in Camp Sherman, Oregon! This 200 acre private iconic estate is nestled amongst lush mountain vegetation, meandering rivers and a national forest. We’ll hike along the banks of the Metolius, taking in the unique peace and beauty this place has to offer as we gather seeds of inspiration for designing and creating unique block printed designs. Our time together will be filled with creative talks, hands on guidance for sketching and designing as well as creating printed materials for sewing bags, pillows, table clothes and quilts. We've planned plenty of down time too to relax and soak in the majestic surroundings. Join us in October and reboot your creative nature!

Here are some of our retreat details:
 

* Our retreat takes place for 4 days and 3 nights from October 2nd to October 5th.

* Your lodging, meals, most supplies and creative experience are included in the adventure.

* We will explore the block printing process including: gathering ideas, planning our blocks, cutting and printing and exploring inspirations for using our completed blocks on finished projects.

* Some of our downtime explorations will include english paper piecing and learning how to embellish our prints with beading and embroidery.

* We'll explore the historic Stiching Post, in Sisters, Oregon and enjoy a delicious meal at the Open Door Restaurant.

Once you have registered for your retreat we’ll follow up with a more detailed itinerary with workshop descriptions and a small supply list. And as our trip approaches, we’ll send you helpful information to prepare you for your adventure.

Accommodations:

All rooms at the Metolius are single occupancy.   

Payment Information:

The total cost to attend the Explore Your Cretive Nature with Amy Butler and Val Wells is $2,300. This price includes most everything except airfare, transportation to Metolius, alcohol, {some alcohol included} spending money and tips to staff.

A non-refundable deposit of $800 is required to hold your spot. The remaining balance is due in two separate payments of $750. The first payment is due on June 15, 2017 and the second on September 1, 2017. If you would like, a different payment schedule may be arranged.

Special Limited Time Offer:

We are offering a one-time discount for those guests who encourage a friend to join them in this adventure and are registerd with deposit and second payment paid before June 15th, 2017. A $100 discount will applied to the first guest who registers and a $75.00 discount will be awarded to the friend who registers second. The discount will be applied to the 3rd and final payment.

Terms & Conditions:

Workshops will cover a wide variety of creative exercises led by Amy and Val. There will be a small supply list for the workshop. Project samples and specifics will be shared with you well in advance of the trip.

Please be sure to check your calendar before you sign up for the Metolius. A $800.00 cancellation charge will be applied to all refunds requested prior to September 1, 2017 due to transaction costs and administrative fees. For cancellations after September 1st, we will issue a full credit for a future workshop less the $800.00 deposit.

Once your registration is confirmed you'll receive a full itinerary and waiver. Please note we must receive your signed waiver for you to be fully registered. The signed waiver must be received within 7 days of receipt.

Please note, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel this workshop offering up to six weeks in advance of the trip if in the unlikely event we do not have enough registrants, or less in the case of an act of God. If we have to cancel the workshop you will be refunded all workshop fees less administrative fees. Travel Insurance is recommended.

Participants therefore understand, acknowledge and agree that if she/he fails to pay the remaining balance due on the above-described dates, the initial deposit of $800 shall be forfeited.

There are only 13 spots available for this exciting opportunity. They will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis with receipt of deposit used as the determining factor of registration. Once we have received your registration and deposit, you are in agreement with all the terms and conditions listed above.
