K9 Nose Work® Competition

Canine Craze now offers K9 Nose Work® classes.  These classes are a great way to have fun with your dog, build confidence in shy dogs, or to prepare for K9 Nose Work^® competitions.  You will find it is also a great sport for retired working or sport dogs.

1. Introduce blind hides
2. Problem solving
3. Competition preparation
4. Search all 4 Elements

Instructor: Ryan Anderson

Ryan got his start training dogs in 2005 with his Golden Retriever Tucker. His primary focus was obedience until 2007, when he was introduced to tracking. Since then, Ryan has been hooked on learning about scent theory and how to harness the natural ability of the dog to use their nose.  In 2009 Ryan received his Golden Retriever puppy, Surfer, and started scent work right away.  Since then he's recieved his TD (tracking dog) and TDX (tracking dog excellent) with Surfer.

In 2011, Ryan attended his 1^st K9 Nose Work® workshop and WOW! A sport designed to teach dogs how to use their nose to search any environment. Since then, he has been instructing Canine Craze Nose Work Classes as well as training his own dog  Surfer in K9 Nose Work®.

Class Participants:

Please bring the following to class:

1. Five different kinds of soft pea sized treats
2. A toy that allows you to interact WITH your dog
3. Notebook and pen for note taking
4. Blanket or sheet to cover your dog's crate (if your dog barks in the crate)

*Please do not feed your dog before class.

Class Participants - $120.00

Full payment is required to confirm your registration.  If you choose to mail a check, the check must reach us within 10 business days from the submission date of your online registration form.  Registration is complete when both the registration form and your payment are received.

Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk and Hold Harmless

I understand that attendance at a dog training class of any kind is not with out risk to myself, members of my family or guests who may attend, or my dog, because some of the dogs to which I (we) may be exposed may be difficult to control and may be the cause of injury or illness even when handled with the greatest of care.  I agree that I will abide by all safety rules and requests provided by Canine Craze’s employees and representatives.I hereby waive all claims for damages and release and forever discharge Canine Craze Performance Center, its directors, officers, employees, instructors, assistants, volunteers, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, losses, or liabilities of any nature, for any injury or damage which I, my dog, or my guests may suffer in connection with my attendance or participation in training sessions or my presence at Canine Craze Performance Center, including specifically, but not without limitation any injury or damage resulting from the action of any dog.  I expressly assume the risk of such damage or injury when attending any training sessions or other function, or while on the training grounds of the surrounding area thereto.I hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Canine Craze Performance Center, its directors, officers, employees, instructors, assistants, volunteers, and representatives from any and all claims, damages losses or liabilities, whatsoever arising out of or resulting from (1) my presence at, or participation in, any training session or other function while at Canine Craze Performance Center grounds or the surrounding area thereto, (2) the presence at or participation by any member of my family or any other person accompanying me to any training session or other function while on the grounds of the surrounding area theretoand (3) any action by any dog, including my own.I also hereby agree that all images, photographs, digital compositions, videographs and any other means of imagining of myself or my dogs are the property of Canine Craze, L.L.C.  I also authorize use of all of the above imagines for any reason or marketing purpose and waive any compensation for said use.

Class Cancellation/Refund Policy
All class fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.  Class fees can be transferred to other classes or services offered by Canine Craze but must be requested to later than 7 days before the start date of class.

This policy applies to participants that must withdraw for any reason including but not limited to injury, illness, emergency and personal or work-related reasons. This policy is without exception.

 Dog Policies

1. If a participant is asked to leave the class/property because her/his dog is dangerous, disruptive, or unmanageable, he/she will not be refunded any part of the registration.  At which time the class fee may be transferred to other services.
2. Unless otherwise stated, females that are currently in estrus (day 1 - day 21) are excluded from participating in class. The owner has the option to bring another dog or transfer class fee to another class session.
3. Dogs must be on leash and supervised at all times. Owners must pick-up after their dogs.
