"Using Technology and Innovation to Obtain Increased Capability and Readiness for Systems"

The purpose of the symposium is to provide an open forum to promote discussions and provide the latest information associated with current and future Army missile programs in a collaborative government, industry, and academia environment.  The theme statement recognizes the significance of providing our Warfighters with innovative missile and systems capability to meet needs, increase capability, and systems readiness.  The forum provides senior government and industry program managers, their staffs, and academia with many opportunities to meet and interact with their counterparts within the Army missile enterprise.  In addition, the forum will allow industry leaders the opportunity to assess their IRAD programs in light of the Army’s S&T focus and the PEO’s program directions with an eye toward win/win collaboration with their government customers.

The symposium is a one-day, unclassified event that will include briefings from key leaders plus four special topic panels.  The morning sessions will include a User Community Panel titled "Requirements generation and management supporting innovation and rapid capability" followed by a Technology Panel titled “Identifying, developing, and evaluating key technology for rapid transfer and integration”.  The afternoon sessions will be compromised of an industry panel titled "Prioritizing IR&D toward key technology and innovation for rapid transfer and soldier use” and an Army panel titled "How programs can use innovative technology to promote rapid incremental capability in the near term for systems". Our keynote speaker will be LTG James H. Dickinson, Commanding General, United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command and Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT).

The conference will take place on Tuesday, 11 April 2017, in the South Hall of the Von Braun Center. Preceding the conference on Monday, 10 April is an icebreaker reception/social at the Jackson Center at 5:00 p.m.
