While many people can remain active and vibrant as they age, others may experience the effects of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and other ailments which decrease the ability to participate in activities previously enjoyed.
As we age, our muscles become less elastic and the tissues around our joints thicken, restricting movement. AARP reports that 60 percent of people over the age of 50 are inactive. Inactivity and aging contribute to inflexibility.
