CANCELLED - Grant Writing and Fundraising for Non-Profits
Does your non-profit organization need additional funding to launch, continue, or grow? Non-profits are typically funded through fees for services provided, through individual and corporate contributions, and through grants from foundations. This workshop will cover the basics of fundraising and grant writing:
- types of fundraising
- essential elements before a fundraising campaign begins
- the board's role in fundraising
- when and why people give
- the "asking" (for $$) scenario
- keeping donors engaged with the organization and its mission
- identifying potential grant sources
- grant application preparation
- key elements for successful awards
- keeping the grant funder happy through publicity and follow-up
Our workshop presenter is Jim Matson, who has more than 25 years of experience helping clients receive over $100 million in grant funding. His organization, Matson Consulting, LLC, helps non-profits secure over $1 million annually through fund-raising, and $8 million annually in federal grant funding.
Hosted by:
