Register in person for the 2nd Combined FSAM-FMPG Conference

The Florida Society of Addiction Medicine and the Florida Medical Professionals Group are excited to host the second annual joint conference. This conference brings together like-minded people from a variety of perspectives regarding addiction - physicians, professionals, advocates, friends-of-recovery and people in recovery. Sometimes all wrapped up in the same person!

The aim of the conference is to blend medical and professional education with real-world recovery and fellowship. We hope you join us, learn something, teach something and have some fun with others who are seeking to ensure that recovery becomes a reality for anyone affected by addiction.

We are pleased that the Florida Professionals Network (PRN) will be conducting a PRN Facilitator's workshop alongside the FSAM/FMPG conference.

Online registration for this conference has closed, but you will be able to register in person at the conference, June 21st and 22nd. We look forward to seeing you there!

About FSAM: The Florida Society of Addiction Medicine is a specialty medical society of the Florida Medical Association (FMA) and the State Chapter of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. FSAM is Florida's voice of addiction medicine, treatment and recovery.

About FMPG: The Florida Medical Professionals Group is rooted in service to the physician/medical professional-in-recovery and those seeking recovery. After the genesis of PRN in the early 1980s, the already established FMPG support groups became the first PRN support groups. Now there are over 50 such monitoring/support groups across the state. No other state in the nation has such an elaborate and refined system of support for medical professionals in recovery.

About PRN: Florida's Professionals Resource Network is considered, by many national experts to be a model Physician Health Program. Through their well-established 80% plus recovery rates, PRN has earned a broad base of support, including the Department of Health, Florida Medical Association, the Board of Medicine and over 20 additional Florida health boards and councils.

FSAM, FMPG and PRN are positively networked in many ways. These outstanding organizations have a rich and shared legacy of leadership, education and advocacy in Florida's approaches to prevention, intervention and treatment of addiction.

About REMS: The ER/LA Opioid REMS: Achieving Safe Use While Improving Patient Care course was developed by nationally known experts in the ER/LA opioid field. ASAM’s REMS course is CO*RE-branded material but will also provide a summary focus on addiction medicine. Participants who complete the ASAM CO*RE REMS course will earn up to 3 CME. Registration for REMS is free whether or not you are attending the entire FSAM-FMPG conference. The course will take place Saturday morning, June 22 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek, Orlando.
