Woodworker Meet-up at Clearlake Furniture & Fun at Okemo Mountain Resort! 

Join us for our next VWMA Woodworker Meet-up on July 21st at Clearlake Furniture & Okemo Mountain Resort's Adventure Zone in Ludlow, VT.

About Clearlake Furniture: ClearLake Furniture was created in 1992 by Brent Karner, master woodworker. He had a vision of combining their commitment to excellence, passion for fine furniture, and creative energy and from that vision came ClearLake Furniture, which continues to thrive in Vermont.

Brent honed his skill in the art of fine woodworking at the world-renowned North Bennet Street School in Boston. His commitment to detail and excellence is built into every piece of furniture created by the craftsmen of ClearLake Furniture. At their restored barn in Ludlow, Vermont, you can wander through the workshop, talk with the craftsmen, and browse the 3,000 square-foot gallery for ideas. The afternoon event will include:

• 1:30pm Tour of Clearlake Furniture showroom and workshop led by owner Brent Karner.
  
  
  
• 2:30pm: Informal Discussion: "Tricks of the Trade: Sales & marketing tools from your fellow woodworker”. Hear from your neighbor woodworker about some of the tools they are using to market their business, increase sales, or drive . What has worked and what has not? Please bring your success, and even failure, stories so that we can be of resource to each other. Trying something new on your website? Advertising in a new publication? Using a different software at your company? Seeing success with a certain social media tool? Share the good, the bad, and the ugly. We are all in the same game and have invaluable information that should be shared to strengthen the industry as a whole!
• 3:00pm: Networking & fun with Vermont woodworking companies at Okemo Mountain Resort' Adventure Zone and Coleman Brook Tavern Bar, right across the street from Clearlake Furniture. After our visit at Clearlake Furniture we will venture across the street to enjoy beautiful Okemo Mountain Resort. Folks will have the option to purchase a discounted Adventure Zone wristband, can enjoy sitting in the resort adirondack chairs with a beverage, network with other attendees, and take in the scenery of the mountain.

  A $25.00 wristband, (discounted from $53) (optional) will give you access to the following Adventure Zone activities:  Mini golf, Timber ripper coaster,  Amp Air bag, Climbing wall,  Bouncy trampolines, Disc Golf, & scenic chairlift!    Bring cash for food or drink at Tavern. 
   

The event starts at 1:30pm and the  Adventure Zone closes at 5pm. The Tavern closes at 9pm so everyone is welcome to stay as long as they like there to continue networking and their food/drink.
