Boston Research Tour

Join us for a week of intensive research and lots of fun!

Join Jane Lindsey, former CGS president and past NEHGS Trustee, on a CGS research tour to Boston to visit the New England Historic Genealogical Society library. Whether you have visited before or this is your first time, you will enjoy your week at one of the nation’s leading research centers for genealogists.

 PACKAGE INCLUDES:
• Accommodations at Boston Common Hotel & Conference Center (formerly John Hancock Conference Center) located about three blocks from NEHGS.
• Monday morning orientation
• Free day Monday to visit one of several repositories or sight-see in Boston
• Tuesday orientation at NEHGS and on-site lectures TBA
• Daily continental breakfast
• Two group dinners (Monday and Saturday) at local restaurants
• Optional pre-trip consultations with Jane Lindsey

COST:
$1674 per person/single occupancy (Airfare not included)
$300 deposit guarantees your registration
Final payment due on August 15, 2012

• Non-members add $40 membership fee.
• Participants must be a member of NEHGS or will be required to pay daily library fee of $15. 
• Airfare is not included in the price.
• Additional nights before or after the tour may be pre-arranged at the rate of $182 per night for a single room.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS: 
All cancellations must be made in writing. Your deposit, less an administrative fee of $25, will be refunded if written cancellation is received before August 15, 2012. If cancellation notice is received after August 15, the $300 deposit will be forfeited. If cancellation notice is received on or after September 16, no refund will be given. (CGS recommends that you obtain trip insurance if you feel cancellation is a possibility. If the tour is cancelled due to lack of participation, all fees will be refunded.)

RESPONSIBILITY:
The California Genealogical Society shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to property.
Additionally, the CGS will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury caused by strikes, weather, illness, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.
