Hello Relatives,

We would like to inform you that we have decided to postone the Young Indigenous Queers Retreat until a later date in June out of respect for our Pueblo Relatives in ceremony and those who have family plans and/or are celebrating religious holidays. We are also making this change because of low registration for the event and to allow for more time to prepare an event that will be easily accessible to young people.

Please note that this change will also affect speakers we have asked to adjust their schedules for April 21st. We will be sure to update everyone and adjust our website, agenda, registration form, and graphics over the coming week. We will also be closing registration until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and we appreciate your patience.

The YIQR will focus on the resiliency of our Indigenous womyn and LGBTQ2S+ people. The retreat will provide a space that is focused on connecting & cultivating a cohort of Indigenous gender-queer youth between the ages of 16-25 to strategize how to break the cycles of violence amongst our self-identified womyn, men, children, & LGBTQ2S+ relatives.
