MY VOICE MATTERS!

Sexual Violence Survivors Healing Retreat

More than 4 in 5 American Indian and Alaska Native women have experienced violence in their lifetime.

Description:

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) a time to focus the attention to the prevalence of sexual assault and educate communities, individuals, and relatives about how to prevent it. CSVANW recognizes that “more than 4 in 5 American Indian and Alaska Native women have experienced violence in their lifetime. This includes 56.1% who have experienced sexual violence”. During SAAM, we HONOR our sexual assault survivors and their voices by encouraging healing practices, uplifting conversations, and providing opportunities to connect to their roots in healing and community support.

Agenda:

This survivor’s healing day offers trauma informed/culturally inclusive healing workshops, animal interactions for the soul, indigenous rooted yoga session, and spa services including massage or facial, and hot springs soaking (services offered to meet the needs of each participants comfort level). Our goal for this retreat is to be culturally focused, identify inclusive, healing, relaxing and accessible
