Non Profit Seminar: Grant Writing Nuts and Bolts- The writing of your successful grant proposal (Session 2) - C0405

This class is about the the interface with the grantors and the writing of your grant proposal. It includes providing outcomes and evaluation of your programs and efforts to successfully meet the needs of the grantor. To be successful you will need to have a strong case for support and also to provide outcomes that will influence the donor to award you a grant. Time will be spent on how to write the grant proposal in the strongest way possible to be awarded a grant. You will also learn techniques to monitor your grant.

Bettina Kohlbrenner will provide you with the tools and ideas to make your grant proposal a successful one. She has the experience and expertise to make this class a must for fundraisers, board members and those new to grant writing.

This  is necessary framework to preparing grant proposals and how they are awarded. Grants are usually a fundamental part of nonprofits and key to funding programs/needs for your clients and nonprofit organization.

If you missed the class, It will be offered later in the year or you may consider a mentoring session with a SCORE volunteer to cover Session 1 material.

About the Speaker:

Bettina C. Kohlbrenner, MNA, CFRE

 Bettina is a seasoned nonprofit professional with over two decades of fundraising and organizational effectiveness experience. Bettina has held executive-level fundraising and marketing positions, including Executive Director for JW House, Chief Development Officer at Edgewood Center for Children and Families, and Executive Director of Fund Development for EMQ FamiliesFirst (EMQFF).

As the sole proprietor of her consulting firm, she guides numerous San Francisco Bay Area Nonprofits to develop their fund development, business services, and marketing and communications departments.

Bettina is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has a Masters in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. She served on the Board of Directors of Campbell Rotary, Vice-Chair of the Commission for the Status of Women for Santa Clara County, and a Board Member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Silicon Valley (AFPSV). Currently, Bettina is Co-Chair of the AFPSV Mentor program. As a certified yoga instructor, she spends her free time teaching yoga and enjoys time with her son, Zakarie, and daughter, Tatiana.
