The 2014 Business Women of the Year Awards Gala recognizes the significant accomplishments of professionals and women business owners. This event applauds the success of honorees, provides visibility and recognition of their leadership and innovation, and recognizes best practices in business.
The highlight of our celebration is the presentation of two annual awards:
Rising Star Award is presented to a member who has demonstrated entrepreneurial creativity and determination in successfully managing a business that is less than five years old.
2014 Finalists
Woman Business Owner Award is given to a member who has demonstrated strong leadership skills in growing and managing a successful business that is more than five years old.
2014 Finalists
NAWBO Charlotte will also recognize three community leaders who have made significant contributions to the Charlotte region.
The Business Leader Award is presented to an established member of the business community who has led a successful business, serves as a motivating force for both her business and for women in business, and supports economic development in the Charlotte community.
The Non-Profit Leader Award recognizes a woman who has demonstrated a history of advancing the cause of her non-profit organization, while setting an example for the importance of community and non-profit support initiatives by women business owners.
The Public Policy Award is given to a woman who has made a difference: in her community, in the state, and especially in the arena of setting and promoting policies that impact women business owners. She’s partnered with her community to advance the causes and success of the average citizen, as well as small business owners, to help ensure a more vibrant community.
