2nd Annual

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging

Virtual Workshop Series

Session One: Uncovering More About Ourselves

Led by Rene Petties-Jones

President of the NFJC of WNY, Inc, in conjunction with the NFJC Facilitation Team

Session One: Uncovering More About Ourselves

Last year, during our inagural DEI&B workshop, we learned all about unconscious bias and how that can impact decisions we make. But what about our cultural backgrounds, our understanding of ourselves and others around us?  How does that play a role and how do our blind spots not only trip us up occasionally, but also help us.  This session is designed to open up the dialogue about these issues and how they may impact us.  We'll revisit terminology and ensure a safe conversational space to explore things we know, and things we don't know.
