The day will begin with opening remarks from our BIshop, the Rt. Rev. Kevin Nichols, followed by a keynote presentation by the Very Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, Dean of Episcopal Divinity School at Union and Bill and Judith Moyers Chair in Theology, Union Theological Seminary.
From there we will move into a series of informational sessions, with an opportunity for fellowship, roundtables, or personal reflection during lunch. After lunch we will have additional information sessions, then we will wrap up the day with the Bishop's address, worship and dinner. A key component of the day are the "How Does Church Work?" sessions in support of the Bishop's "5 Priorities" (Lay Formation), which we hope all current and hopeful vestry members will attend.
Childcare will be available.
There is a nominal registration fee ($25) and scholarships are available. Please contact Paula Lapinski (paula@diobeth.org) for more information.
