Pacific Elementary School's Farm-to-Table Dinner 2016

We are delighted to invite you to the 6th annual Farm-to-Table Dinner – a benefit for the FoodLab program of Pacific Elementary School.

The event is Saturday, October 15th, 2016. 5pm-8pm at Green Oaks Creek Farm in lovely Pescadero.

This is a not-to-be-missed event including refreshments, delectable appetizers, a multi-course menu featuring local farm-fresh ingredients, and live music.

The evening is set in a scenic farm with the company of your friends and fellow community members of Pacific Elementary School. This event is open to the public. Please invite all of your friends and family members to this unique and exceptionally delicious evening.

We so hope you can join us. 100% of the proceeds go directly to supporting the continuation of Pacific Elementary's remarkable FoodLab program.

About the FoodLab Program: 

Pacific School began a very unique lunch program in September of 1984, which won the prestigious California School Board Association Golden Bell Award.  As an extension of our Life Lab Project, students, (grades 5-6), plan and prepare student lunches on a daily basis.  Produce from Project Life Lab is utilized together with other food sources.  The children are actively involved in their meal program - planning, planting, harvesting, cooking, and eating! Lunchtime is part of our curriculum as children sit with a staff member and practice table manners.  Students listen and learn about classical music and nutrition at this time.
