Advanced Disordered Gambling Training 1 - Columbus

This workshop introduces you to many aspects of technology both for clients and clinicians.  Do you know the difference between a digital native and digital immigrant? You will learn about teletherapy and why you should consider offering it as well as many other HIPAA compliant ways to integrate technology with your clients.  Special emphasis on treating problem gambling but also an introduction to the next generation of clients seeking services.  Lunch Included!

 Objectives: 

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

1. Articulate the Do’s and Don’ts of Teletherapy.
2. Identify ways to incorporate technology in the treatment of problem gamblers.
3. Critically review software designed to help problem gamblers reduce or stop gambling.
4. Describe how different generations view the use of technology, in and out of the treatment session. 

This training wil provide 6 CEUs for social workers, counselors and gambling counselors as well as 6 CEUs for chemical dependency and prevention professionals.

Cost: $25.00

Prerequisite: Stage I and Stage II or 24 hours of previous gambling-specific education.

Day-of: Doors will open at 8:30am for networking, sign-in and continental breakfast. The training will begin promptly at 9:00am
