Join us for Stage I: Foundations in Disordered Gambling. This two-day training will provide 12 hours of gambling-specific education and increase the participants' knowledge and understanding of the disease of gambling disorder and prepare the practicing clinician to work with problem and disordered gamblers and their families. Other information discussed includes warning signs, at-risk populations, screening/assessment, prevention/outreach strategies, resources available, gambling expansion and how to partner with the gaming industry, Gambler's Anonymous and other organizations. Small group scenarios and videos will accompany the training. Participation is highly encouraged. Training will include continental breakfast and lunch both days!
This training will provide 12 CEUs for social workers, counselors, and gambling counselors as well as 12 CEUs for chemical dependency and prevention professionals.
