Practical Approaches to Inherited Disease in the Plain Communities in Wisconsin 


Target Audience

The activity is designed for clinicians, midwives, health care workers, educators, administrators and board members who serve the Plain (Amish and Mennonite) populations in Wisconsin.

Elements of Competence

This CME activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of medical knowledge, and patient care and procedural skills.

Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and the LaFarge Medical Clinic – Vernon Memorial Healthcare.  The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

Credit Designation Statement

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
