About the Authors
Donna Brazile: Lecturer, media commentator, and best-selling author, Brazile became the first African American women to lead a major party presidential campaign in 2000 when she managed the campaign of former Vice President Al Gore, and has worked on every major presidential campaign since 1976. Brazile is the former interim Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the founder of Brazile and Associates LLC, a consulting, grassroots advocacy, and training firm.

Yolanda Caraway: With more than 30 years of project management and policy-making experience, Caraway was the Chief of Staff on Jesse Jackson's historic second presidential campaign and is a DNC member-at-large. Since 2008, she has managed backstage and podium operations for the Democratic National Convention, and, through the Caraway Group (founded 1987), she has counseled Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and high profile industries.

Leah D. Daughtry: President and CEO of the boutique strategic planning firm On These Things LLC, Daughtry has worked on Capitol Hill, for the DNC, and for Labor Secretary Alexis Herman. She is the first and only person in history to serve twice as the Democratic National Convention Committee CEO. An ordained minister and pastor of The House of the Lord Church in Washington, DC, Daughtry's work with Faith in Action led to her being named one of the 12 most influential Democrats in the nation on faith and values politics by Religion News Service.

Minyon Moore: Moore served as Assistant to the President and Director of White House Political Affairs and Director of White House Public Liason for President Clinton, and previously served as CEO and National Political Director of the Democratic National Committee. She has undertaken high-level roles in the presidential campaigns of Jesse Jackson, Michael Dukakis, and Hillary Clinton, and has appeared as a guest lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Yale University. She is a partner at the Dewey Square Group, overseeing the State & Local Affairs and Multicultural Strategies practices.
