The talk will describe and explain the new maintenance guidelines statute.Attendees will:

  • Learn the history of this ground-breaking statute
  • Learn its provisions and how it differs from the former statute
  • Get forms with the formulas for temporary and post-divorce maintenance
  • Discuss the new statute’s application in litigation, mediation and collaborative divorce

DOLORES GEBHARDT, ESQ. is a partner at McCarthy Fingar LLP in White Plains.  Her practice is concentrated in matrimonial and family law, collaborative divorce, and civil appeals.  She is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Courts of Appellate Jurisdiction, where she has served as Westchester Chair of its biennial Appellate Practice CLE since 2011.  On January 25, 2016, she received the NYSBA’s Kay Crawford Murray Award, which is given annually to a member who has actively promoted and mentored women in the legal profession.Dolores serves the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York as co-chair of its Matrimonial Law Committee. Dolores is a past president of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association (WWBA).  She currently serves on its Executive Board and is a co-chair of its Matrimonial Law and Holiday Party Committees.  Previously, she served as WWBA Vice President, Treasurer, co-chair of the Annual Dinner, and was a member of the Judicial Screening Committee.  She was WWBA Programs co-chair from 2003-2010 and 2011-2013, and remains “Programs Chair Emeritus.”Dolores is a member of the Board of Directors of the Westchester County Bar Association.  She is the Immediate Past President of the White Plains Bar Association, and is an active member of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals.Ms. Gebhardt has lectured numerous times for the NYSBA, WBASNY, WWBA, and the New York County Lawyers Association.
