About Dr. Moore:

Don Moore is currently Director, Professor of Medical Education and Administration, Director of Evaluation, Undergraduate Medical Education and Director, Office for Continuous Professional Development, at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. 

Over the past thirty-five years, Dr. Moore has served in a variety of positions in medical school, hospital, hospital consortia, and government health care settings.  In these positions, he has been involved in the design and development of continuing medical education for physicians as well as continuing education for hospital staff, faculty development and the management of a sophisticated educational technology center.

Dr. Moore received his Ph.D. in education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1982.  He has published over 35 articles and book chapters and has made just over 125 presentations at a variety of professional meetings.  His research and teaching interests include how physicians learn, instructional design, assessment, planning educational activities to achieve desired outcomes, linking quality improvement and CME and practice-based learning and improvement.
