National Conference with Fr. Laurence Freeman OSB
October 18-20, 2019 Phoenix, AZ
The weekend will begin with a retreat led by Fr. Laurence titled Contemplative Christianity. Can a church as we have come to imagine it be contemplative? Fr. Laurence will share his vision of what
the Spirit is already doing to reshape the church. He believes we have to look back to the origins
and forwards into the unknown. "We are not janitors of a building or archivists....but followers of the Way."
US National Retreat:

Check-in for new registrants on Saturday is 8:00am.
Morning meditation begins at 8:30am

We have arranged for rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Old Town Scottsdale at $139/night, breakfast included. Mention WCCM to obtain this rate. A free shuttle bus is available from
the hotel to the venue. Old Town Scottsdale has many restaurants and shops within walking
distance of the hotel for enjoyment in the evening after the retreat is finished.
TRANSPORTATION FROM AIRPORT:
It is a short ride from the Phoenix airport to the venue or the recommended hotel. An Uber
or Lyft should be less than $20. Taxis are also available, but may cost more.
