Fleisher From a Distance: The Art of Illustration and Swan Lake

Join Fleisher and PA Ballet for a chance to explore the world of illustration. Philadelphia artist Kailey Whitman has created a beautiful, lavish digital short story of Swan Lake. Here’s where you come in as writers, illustrators, and designers—the ending has been left open! Read the full illustrated story at this link and consider: how would you complete the story of Swan Lake? Whitman will discuss her work on April 26th and participating artists should come prepared to share their work on April 30th at 6:30 p.m.

Kailey Whitman is an illustrator and designer whose work can be found in magazines, newspapers, books, on posters, murals, and all around the internet. Her clients have included The New York Times, The Washington Post, NBCAmerican Greetings, Random House, and the Philadelphia Eagles. She loves to draw and feels very lucky that it’s her job. When she’s not working, she’s baking, hiking, reading, and trying to pet as many dogs as possible.
