CVS/DECCF Caregiver Health Promotion Program:

Equiping Faith Communities for Caregiving Ministry 

Join us as we kickoff our innovative new program with CVS Health and DECCF to support caregivers through this faith based initiative!

On December 6th, CVS Health's Caregiver Consultant, along with leaders from DECCF and Easter Seals Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore, will introduce us to the Caregiver Health Promotion Program, and to the resources we'll need for ministering to caregivers in our congregations.  The session will run from 9:00am-3:00pm and will be held at the Peniel United Methodist Church located at 115 E Market Street, Newport, DE 19804.        

The goal of this program is to build knowledge and awareness about family caregiving and provide information about accessing caregiving resources.  Those who participate will receive practical ideas and build skills for developing a caregiver ministry in their own congregations.  Additionally, participants will be provided access to online links and CVS Health and Easter Seals community resources.

Clergy, faith community nurses, other health or welfare ministers, congregation leaders, as well as family caregivers are all invited to attend.
