oin the World Affairs Council Upstate and our co-hosts, the European American Chamber of Commerce-Carolinas and Upstate Alliance as we welcome Sheri Kaiserman. Sheri is an accomplished finance professional with over 30 years of Wall Street experience. Over the last several years she has been focused on early stage investing within the technology, healthcare and blockchain sectors. Prior to this, Sheri spent sixteen years as the Head of the Equities Division at Wedbush. Under her leadership, in 2013, Wedbush published the first Wall Street research report on the topic of bitcoin and blockchain and was one of the first financial services firms to start investing in the sector. She began her career at Oppenheimer, rising to Senior VP, and spent ten years there doing Institutional Equity Research Sales.

Sheri was awarded the “Achievement in Innovation Award” from Markets Media’s Markets Choice Awards: Women in Finance; the “Excellence in Leadership” award from Trader Magazine; was a top 10 finalist “Executive of the Year” nominee at the Los Angeles Business Journal sponsored event, “Women Making a Difference”. Sheri has served local community organizations and has had several advisory board positions in the blockchain industry and is currently an independent board member for Wedbush Securities.
Sheri has a BA in History from Binghamton University. Raised in the Bronx, New York, she moved to California in 1989 and recently made Greenville, SC, her new home. She has been married for 27 years and has 3 children.
