Jeremiah 29 says “Build houses. Plant gardens…then work for the peace of the community.”
For us, that means advocacy….letting your voices be heard in the statehouse to build strong families, neighborhoods and communities.
And YOUR VOICE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT!
Join us on March 1st for our biennial advocacy day at the State Capitol Building in Austin, TX where you will:
- learn from experts and peers on housing policy, advocacy, and communication;
- meet in-person with legislative staff and legislators;
- and tour the Capitol!
Every member of the Habitat family, homeowners, staff, volunteers, board members and youth, are welcome and encouraged to attend Habitat on the Hill. Whether you’re a first time attendee or a seasoned regular at the conference, there’s something for everyone.
You must RSVP so we can make your appointments. Lunch will be on your own in the Capitol. Plan to arrive in downtown Austin by 9:30 a.m.We are finalizing the kickoff spot now.
