Amy Fishleigh, Primary Care and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor and Linda Sicoli, Niagara Region Economic Development Officer will give a presentation followed by a Q&A period.

Amy Fishleigh has been with Niagara Region Public Health for over 15 years. In her time at the Region, Amy has worked as a Youth Action Advisor, Health Promoter and now assumes the role of Stakeholder Engagement Advisor. In these various roles, Amy has worked on controversial topics such as tobacco control, alcohol use prevention, opioids and now COVID-19. The backbone to all of these roles has been partnership, collaboration and communication. With these elements embedded in our approach to addressing health behaviours, the potential for improving population-level health outcomes is greater for our community.

Living and working in both urban and rural centres, Linda Sicoli has had the opportunity to see business and economic development from a varied lens, providing a wholly objective stance in approaching and developing solutions in any situation. Before joining Niagara Region in April 2020, Linda served in economic development leadership at rural municipalities across the Province as well as running a federally funded business incubator in Northern Ontario. Through her Toronto-based consultancy, she invested 20 years leading organizations across sectors to resolve complex issues in change management, diversification and strategic visioning. Currently, Linda advises Niagara’s rural municipalities to support their economic development initiatives and works to advocate for and advance the priority sectors of agri-business and tourism.
