Four Perfect Pebbles
Marion Blumenthal Lazan

Marion Blumenthal Lazan will recount her devastating childhood: fleeing the Nazis, living in refugee, transit, and prison camps, such as Westerbork and Bergen-Belsen; and immigrating to the United States. Her story is one of horror and hardship, courage and hope, and the will to survive.

The Suitcase
Tim Lorsch

Tim Lorsch will perform his musical narrative The Suitcase. Lorsch uses looping technology to layer the stories of his parents, who escaped Nazi Germany, and his uncle, who perished in Auschwitz concentration camp. The Suitcase reflects the hopes dreams, resilience, and vulnerability of the immigrant experience.
