Join Houston Mod for a guided tour of the modern architecture of Lake Jackson and Freeport as part of the DoCoMoMo US 2012 National Tour Day on October 6. Experience the unique history of a mid-twentieth century planned community in the coastal forest.
See and visit buildings by Alden Dow, MacKie & Kamrath, Allen R. Williams, Phillip G. Willard and other architects with noted architectural historian Stephen Fox and local historian Martin Merritt.

Event includes lunch and a special reception with Lake Jackson homeowners and historians.
For Houston participants, the tour departs at 8:30AM from Houston Mod at 3015 Richmond Avenue. Lake Jackson participants will join the tour at 9:30AM at the Alden Dow Office Museum at 101 S. Parking Place.

Open to current members of Houston Mod and the Lake Jackson Historical Association only. Non-members may join Houston Mod at a discounted rate with your ticket purchase.
