LOCATION: Mountains-to-Sea Trail around Pilot Mountain
TIME: Meet at 2 pm on Sunday, September 8th
HIKE DESCRIPTION: The hike is a lollipop loop around the base of Pilot Mountain, a metamorphic quartzite monadnock rising 2,421 feet above sea level, and one of the most distinctive natural features in our state. The majority of the hike is on the MST, with a another trail used to complete the loop. The hike is heavily wooded. The trail is mostly natural surface with a couple short segments of pavement and gravel. There is moderate, up and down elevation change.
LENGTH OF HIKE: 6.2 Miles.
