Danbury - MST Birthday Hike 

LOCATION: Indian Creek Trail at Hanging Rock (trail leads to Danbury)

TIME: Meet at 10 am on Saturday, September 7 (see longer option in description)

HIKE DESCRIPTION: This 3.5 mile hike begins at the Hanging Rock Visitor Center, and will meander past waterfalls along Indian Creek and end at the Dan River. Shuttle will be arranged the morning of the hike to take hikers back to their cars. If you'd like more of a challenge, begin the hike at 8 am at the Dan River trailhead for Indian Creek Trail (hiking the route in reverse of the main group), and then meet the the rest of us at 10 am at the Visitor Center before hiking back to the Dan River. After the hike, we can meet at the Green Heron Alehouse, 1110 Flinchum Road, in Danbury, to enjoy one of their great beers overlooking the Dan River.

LENGTH OF HIKE: 3.5 Miles

DIFFICULTY: Moderate

MEETING LOCATION: Visitor Center at Hanging Rock, meet at main entrance to building on parking lot side. 1790 Hanging Rock Park Rd, Danbury, NC 27016 is the park address. Follow signs for the Visitor Center.
