Pre-Workshop SPECIAL EVENT - PERFORMANCES by the BILL EVANS DANCE COMPANY

You're invited to celebrate the kickoff off the workshop by attending the culminating event of the 11th annual Modern Dance Festival at The Modern.  The last performance of the festival is on Friday July 25 at 8 pm in the Grand Lobby of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth -- the Bill Evans Dance Company will be featured in the CD/FW Dance Exchange:  A Choreographers Showcase that evening.  Bill Evans, Don Halquist, and Kathy Diehl will perform a sampling of works from Bill Evans' choreographic career.  This is a free event which is open to the general public.  Seating is first come, first served.  If you need a ride from the TCU campus, be sure to indicate that on your registration form.  To plan a visit to the museum, check out The Modern's website here.

"AMAZING" & "AWESOME" FACULTY:

Intensive workshops like this can be life-changing events, working under the guidance of world-renowned faculty while also having the opportunity to dialogue and interact with colleagues from across the country.  Taking the time to "dig in deeper" is part of what it's all about.

Read the faculty BIOS here.

TEXAS EDUCATION AGENCY CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS:  CPE's are available for certified dance teachers in the State of Texas.  CD/FW is an approved service provider for the Texas Education Agency.  If you are interested in receiving CPE contact hours for participation in this workshop, be sure to fill out that portion of the registration form.  Please note you will be required to sign in/out at all class meetings as evidence of your contact hours.

THE $500 FULL-DAY TUITION RATE IS BEING EXTENDED TO CONTINUE UP UNTIL THE WORKSHOP IS FULL.

Additional tuition discounts are available for TCU students/faculty. Contact Kerry Kreiman to receive your promotional code.

Other travel info:

PARKING:  If you are driving to the workshop and will be parking a car on campus, you will not be able to park in visitor parking, but will instead be required to get a parking pass and park in a campus lot down the block from the dance building.  You may park in the Visitor Parking behind Erma Lowe Hall while you check-in/register, then once you receive your parking pass, you can move your car.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:  If you are flying into DFW airport, you can combine the usage of shuttle buses and/or the TRE (Trinity Railway Express) train and the local city bus to get to the TCU campus, which will save you money vs. the cost of a taxi from the airport.  Note:  To get to the train stop for the airport you actually have to take a free shuttle bus from the airport to get to the train stop and then purchase your train ticket there.  Learn about your options at "The T" website here.

FORT WORTH is known as "Cowtown," but it's also a city with notable arts and culture.  If you arrive early on Friday, you may want to take the time to visit some of our world class museums or mosey on down to the Stockyards.
