Incident Response Simulation Workshop:
October 30, 2019

Registration to attend in-person has closed.

Registration for online participation will remain open until October 29. Instructions for participation via CCC ConferZoom will be included in the registration confirmation sent to the email address you provide at registration.

Workshop Description

Your worst day is here… Your organization has been hacked and you are now facing down the barrel of a data breach or ransomware. Where do you begin? Who do you call? What do you do?

Hopefully you'll never have to face this day, but if you do, the opportunity to practice your Incident Response Plan under the guidance of professional responders can be invaluable!

This workshop will feature the opportunity to walk through a real-life scenario with your peers, share ideas and strategies, and evaluate the processes, tools, and skillsets of participants. In addition you will be able to review your overall organizational preparedness to an information security incident. Participants will be given a hypothetical scenario based on real-life incidents to process as a team in a round table environment.

Incident response is an all hands on deck scenario, so a good mix of technical, non-technical, and executive participants is essential to a successful process.

The format will be a two-hour technical session in the morning, followed by a one-hour executive session including technical staff in the afternoon.

Register to attend either in person or online. Lunch will be provided for those attending in person.

For those unable to attend, an executive summary of lessons learned, as well as templates of key documents will be provided.
