Dedicated to raising awareness and battling against homelessness, Knock Out Homelessness will take place at Chickie’s & Pete’s on May 16, 2013 from 5-9 pm to support the mission of One Step Away, Greater Philadelphia’s only newspaper written by those without homes for those with homes.
Joining us will be a variety of celebrity heavyweights showing support for the cause. Matthew Saad Muhammed, former light heavyweight champion of the world and member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, will be with us to share his own struggles and successes against homelessness. Additionally, both Former Phillies All-Star and advocate for the homeless Darren “Dutch” Daulton and Juan Samuel, former Phillies All-Star and current Phillies coach will be in attendance to raise awareness and support One Step Away.
