Regional Environmental Studies Center’s mission is to bridge
the gap between environmental awareness and action. The center will offer an
opportunity for students and residents in the Central Valley to have free and
open access to environmental education and resources. High School juniors and
seniors enrolled in the Manteca Unified Vocational Academy (MUVA) will explore
coursework centered on Industrial Technology & Design with an emphasis on
green technology in the center. Students have the opportunity to practice
carrying an innovative design idea from concept to reality.
Community
Education programs featuring topics such as sustainable home improvement,
gardening, energy and water conservation, air quality and innovation are
offered in the center. The center through building construction and landscape
design offers inspiration for visitors on green building and native planting in
the region for both commercial and residential applications.

MUSD is dedicated to educating a new generation of culinary professionals through practical real time experience in the hospitality and culinary work place. To broaden this experience MUSD is delighted to announce the opening of the Café to the public. The Café is located at 2271 W. Louise Ave, next to Premier Credit Union. The Café serves student prepared breakfast and lunch items, Monday through Friday. The café hours are 7:30 am - 2:00pm. Students use the Café as a business model to hone their marketing and culinary skills. Students learn culinary techniques, the use of restaurant software, and earn their food safety certification.
