Deepening Montessori Principles in our Daily Work: Reflection and Renewal for Infant & Toddler Practitioners--a day with Sarah Moudry 

As we reflect on our foundation for working with the youngest and most influential citizens of the world, an orientation formed in us through our Montessori coursework, it is time to refocus from theory to practice. You have chosen to make a difference in the life of each family with whom you connect.  How do you achieve this in your daily interactions as: a teacher, a parent educator, a colleague.

As educators, it is essential that we take a wider, more global view of our work.  The lessons we learn from Montessori philosophy run deep and affect our whole lives.  In this seminar, we will discuss:

  • Creating and maintaining a beautiful classroom environment
  • Working with parents
  • Building professional relationships

BONUS: What were the greatest lessons learned from the making of the movie, Edison’s Day?  Sarah will show and narrate the moments that seem to have made the most difference in the lives of those who have seen this popular Montessori video production.

About our speaker: 

Sarah Moudry

Sarah received her AMI Assistants-to InfancyTraining at The Montessori Institute in Denver, Colorado and her AMI Primary Training at the Montessori Training Center of Minnesota. She holds a M.Ed. in Montessori Education and a B.A. in Environment, Textiles, and Design and is a Professional Member of the Interior Design Society.

Sarah is the author of many booksand educational videos and keeps a blog about parenting and Montessori education and interior design at www.familyfriendlyhome.com. She is also the founder of Studio June, an active parent and child-learning environment offering weekly classes and workshops for families www.thestudiojune.com based in Houston, Texas. As a Parent Education and Early Childhood Consultant, Sarah helps parents take a developmental approach to parenting and see their homes as learning environments. She draws on her experience as a designer, educator, and mother of three to inspire parents to see their child’s potential and find their own comfort in parenting.

The Spring Seminar will be held in Clarendon Hills at the Christian Church of Clarendon Hills (just a few blocks away from Seton Montessori's main campus) on Saturday, April 1, 2017.
