Business Buddies: How To Grow Your Business With CoHosted Events

Join Liz Provo, Authorized Expert for Constant Contact and Thom Fox, Business Advisor, (ThomFox.com) for a special, FREE Workshop. Learn how to plan, hold and run successful events for your business. Special focus on collaboration, online registration tools, email and social media.

At the heart of small business marketing are the campaigns that drive action – collections of marketing activities that help a small business or organization to achieve its goals and objectives. One important campaign type that many nonprofits and small businesses have used, but would like to learn more about, revolves around Events.

Sometimes it’s difficult to plan an event by yourself. Who do you invite? What do you say? How do you convert attendees into revenue? Well, instead of missing out on this valuable growth channel, why not get a buddy? Every business is in connection with a complementary service.  Attorneys and insurance brokers, website developers and marketing firms, chiropractors and nutritionists … these are examples of symbiotic relationships that, when combined, can provide valuable informational sessions.

Business Buddies: How to Grow Your Business with Cohosted Events provides you with the foundation on how you can use your relationships, and expertise, to improve your bottom line.

Thom will discuss leveraging strategic relationships, and storytelling concepts, to produce impactful events. You will learn how to:

• Identify synergy with strategic partners

• Brand your event around a cause, or a concept

• Strategize your event for maximum exposure

• Deliver messaging that gets results

Next, Liz will share how to provide the "WOW factor" in the relationship building process by holding events. You will learn:

• Types of events, goals for events, a quick note on charging or not and events as part of the Engagement Marketing cycle

• Promoting the event (with a sample promotional schedule and activities)

• Making the most of an online registration tool, with best practices focused on what information to ask for on registration form, social proof, payment/donation options, etc.

• Post-event actions, including review of stats and social activity and sending out a survey

Please note: this session will not be addressing best practices around event planning topics like venue selection, planning event entertainment or dining options, etc. It is focused on helping you select, promote and form collaborations surrounding an event, and streamlining your online registration process.
