What can we learn from the women who shattered the glass ceiling and how can we close the gender gap with purpose, passion, and permission?
CEO's may be the most scrutinized people outside professional athletes. Magazines and data companies analyze their education, career history, tenure, stock performance, and more. And yet, too little is known about what distinguishes the women in that group. The reason is profound in its simplicity: Until recently, threre were so few female CEO's that a statistically valid study wasn't feasible. KF teamed up with the Rockafeller Foundation on the CEO pipeline project to develop a deep understanding of the journeys of 57 women that made to the top of some of the largest companies in the U.S., and into how companies can apply these learnings to develop robust pipelines of high potential women.
