Here's the skinny on what's going down for this fun filled weekend!

Wednesday, April 4, 2018 5-7pm Mixer/Get Together at Erlbacher Gear (our machine shop).  Bring a small appetizer if you can (we understand people are traveling, so if you don't have one, it's no biggie) and join us for a little get together.  We will have some games and entertainment, so be ready for fun!

Thursday April 5, 2018 is a busy day!  There will be an opportunity to dye yarn, do a new user workshop, a ribber workshop or set up and CRANK, visit and play!

Friday April 6, 2018 is a fun and educational day!  There will be shop tours and demonstrations all day long.  We will eat lunch together (included in the fee) and have a little auction for machine number 1000.  We did it with our 500th machine, because who ever thought we would sell 500 machines?  Well, we have passed number 1000 so we deemed it fit to have another auction.  There will be more machine information to come.

Saturday April 7, 2018 is another fun and educational day.  There will be demos all day and we will eat lunch together.  Around lunchtime, we will hear from Dylan Sides.  This will be Dylan's 3rd speech to us.  He is not looking for money, but using us as a sounding board while he practices his passion, which is advocating for foster children.  We also intend to surprise him with a small report of how his speeches have impacted our lives.

If you are new, this paragraph is for you. Here are some thoughts on questions that people usually ask......first of all, please remember that we were all the new kid at one point, so we know how you feel.  Walking into a room of strangers is never easy so try to relax because these are just about the nicest people you've ever met.  Sometimes, we're so nice it may be overwhelming.  Dress comfortably, as you would whenever you are going to crank.  We don't dress up or put on airs around here.  This is the most important thing...remember when I said we are just about the nicest people you would ever meet?  In our haste to help you, we may confuse you.  So if you feel confused, stop and take some deep cleansing breaths (ok, I am back at my yoga practice, can you tell?) and tell someone.  It is not worth feeling frustrated.  But you are in a room of 100 crankers, where you will potentially get 105 pieces of advice!

Here's a shot of last year's crank in.....do not worry.  My kids popped that nasty beach ball and it will never be back to the crank in again....however, I do have fun plans this year......do not worry, my crazy scheme does not involve large or small objects flying around the room that will potentially wipe out your work space!
