POOL/PACT Human Resources In-Person Attendance Policy
Participants must register for training programs in order to attend. Participants are expected to attend each session of an in-person training program in its entirety, whether a multi-day certificate program or a single-day non-certificate course. Those who miss more than one hour of a session for certificate programs, or 25% of a non-certificate course will not be eligible to receive a certificate of completion (certificate programs) or certificate of attendance (non-certificate courses) until all sessions are completed in their entirety. Those who do not complete the first session of a multi-day certificate program will not be allowed to attend the other sessions until the first session is completed. In addition, participants must complete all pre-assessment and post-assessment evaluations. Failure to meet these expectations may disqualify participants from receiving a certificate of completion/attendance and continuing education units (CEUs).

ADVANCED Human Resources Representative Certificate Program
May 2023 - Carson City
This two-day program will assist graduates of the original Human Resources Representative Certificate Program to enhance their employee relations skills and employment law knowledge by working through a case study. Participants will act as the “HR Manager” of the organization and determine how to proceed at various stages. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their decisions as well as the consequences of their actions or inactions. Completion of both days is required to earn a certificate.
Note: This course is only available to graduates of the "Human Resources Representative Certificate Program."
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Review major employment laws and updates.
- Identify the proper steps to take in various scenarios.
- Discuss how to approach difficult conversations.
- Consider legal obligations and personnel policies as well as HR responsibilities and common-sense approaches.
Infectious Disease Requirements
Attendees exhibiting any infectious disease type symptoms (e.g., fever, shortness of breath, flu symptoms) in the 72 hours prior to the class are restricted from attending in-person sessions. Participants exhibiting any infectious disease type symptoms will be asked to leave the on-site training/meeting.
POOL/PACT HR reserves the right to postpone or convert the program to a virtual format if local infectious disease restrictions change.
