Help Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) prepare the new NSO Bell Building for 155 formerly homeless individuals.
If you have been following the renovation of the NSO Bell Building or have attended an NSO A Place to Call Home Housewarming Party you know how important this move will be for the building's new residents.
This is your chance to be a part of their life-changing journey.
Volunteers are being sought to help in all aspects of the building set-up including Volunteer Check-In/Out, Box Moving, Refreshments, Trash & Recycle and the General Store.
Below is a brief description of each area.
Volunteer Check-In / Out: Check-in volunteers as they arrive, distribute and collect volunteer forms, check-out volunteers when leaving at the end of their assignment.
Box Packing/Moving: Volunteers pack boxes with home goods for apartments and place them into apartments so they are in place when apartment set up volunteers arrive the following days.
Refreshments: Assist with the solicitation, set-up, distribution and clean-up of refreshments for volunteers.
Trash & Recycle: Move trash and recyclable items from set-up floors to dumpsters or recycle bins.
Apartment Set-up: Due to space limitations, a total of 4 volunteers, can be scheduled to set-up each apartment. Housewarming Party Hosts will be given the first opportunity to set-up apartments.
General Store: Oversee General Store and assist volunteers with finding items needed to complete their apartment’s check list.
