NSO's Annual RiverRun & Walk featuring Handlebars for the Homeless 

You are invited to support the life-changing programs of Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) by supporting NSO’s 7th Annual RiverRun & Walk featuring Handlebars for the Homeless.  By participating in this annual event  you are more than just a “runner, walker or cyclist”. You are helping NSO to change the lives of thousands of your most vulnerable neighbors.

 Run, Walk & Cycle Information

Registration Fees: 

Early Registration - $25 per person through September 8th

Regular Registration - $30 per person beginning September 9th

Race Start/Finish:  Rivard Plaza, 1340 E. Atwater Street, just east of GM Renaissance Center

Parking:  Parking is available at Rivard Plaza and at lots surrounding the park.

Starting Times:

  7:00 a.m. – Day of Registration Opens for All

   7:00 a.m. - Race Number and T-shirt Pick-up Opens for All

  7:30 a.m. – Cyclist Warm-Up with Fast Freddy Begins

  8:00 a.m. – Cyclist Riding Instructions

   8:15 a.m. – Handlebars for the Homeless Begins

   8:30 a.m. – Runner & Walker Warm-Up with Fast Freddy Begins

  8:50 a.m. – Line up at Run/Walk Start Line

  9:00 a.m. – 5K Run & Walk Begins

10:15 a.m. – Awards Presentation & Raffle Drawing Begins

T-shirts:  Participants may pick up their NSO 5K Detroit RiverRun & Walk T-shirts on race day between 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and after the race awards ceremony at the T-shirt Tent.  You must present the T-shirt coupon located on the tab of your race number to receive your T-shirt. 

Runner Awards:

Top 5 Men & Women (1st - 5th Place)                      

Top Man & Woman Masters (1st Place)

Top Man & Woman Seniors (1st Place)

Top Wheelers (1st Place)

 All other finishers receive ribbons. 

Participant Raffle:  All participant race numbers are entered into a raffle to be held immediately following the runner awards presentation. You must be present to win.
