Have you ever thought about trying your hand at canning and said, “I just don't know where to begin?” Well, here’s the answer! On July 14, join millions of food lovers curious about canning to learn the ease of preserving fresh food as part of National Can-It-Forward Day.

Whether you are new to canning or a seasoned pro, canning is always more fun when shared with friends.   Make plans to join us at The Haven as we celebrate the bounty of summer with a special canning class.  We've designed the class to feature the freshest seasonal produce, supplied by the Local Food Hub, and to demonstrate the basics of water bath canning. canning bountyWe'll show you how to safely process fresh tomatoes and peaches, and give you confidence and motivation to expand your canning horizons!
