Fedora is the robust, modular, open source repository platform for the management and dissemination of digital content. Fedora 4, the latest production version of Fedora, features vast improvements in scalability, linked data capabilities, research data support, modularity, ease of use and more. Fedora Camp offers everyone a chance to dive in and learn all about Fedora 4.

Training will begin with the basics and build toward more advanced concepts–no prior Fedora 4 experience is required. Participants can expect to come away with a deep dive Fedora 4 learning experience coupled with multiple opportunities for applying hands-on techniques working with experienced trainers and Fedora gurus. 

Previous Fedora Camps include the inaugural camp held at Duke University and the most recent, West Coast Camp held at CalTech. The camp curriculum will provide a comprehensive overview of Fedora 4 by exploring such topics as:

  • Core features
  • Integrated features
  • Data modeling and linked data
  • Hydra and Islandora
  • Migrating to Fedora 4
  • Deploying Fedora 4 in production

The curriculum will be delivered by a knowledgable team of instructors from the Fedora community, including:

  • Diego Pino, Metropolitan New York Library Council
  • Nick Ruest, York University
  • Trey Pendragon, Princeton University

Payment is due upon registration.  While an invoice option is available, please note that the invoice must be paid within 30 days of receipt or registration will be canceled.

Please note: If you are a DuraSpace Member please be sure to select the reduced Member Rate when completing payment.  Once payment has been made any errors can only result in a refund minus a $35 administrative fee.

Cancellations must be made by October 28, 2016 to receive a refund (minus a $35 administrative fee).  Cancellations after this date will not be eligible to receive a refund.
