Keynote Speaker Bethany Bezak, P.E., LEED AP
Green Infrastructure Manager,

DC Clean Rivers Project 


Ms. Bezak's primary role as the Green Infrastructure Manager for DC Water in Washington, DC is to manage DC Water's Green Infrastructure implementation as part of the DC Clean Rivers Project. This is a $2.6 Billion consent decree to reduce Combined Sewer Overflows to the District's waterbodies. She has experience in the design and construction of GI and stream restoration projects and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. In addition, she is well-versed in sustainable site design, LEED certification, and green building practices. Ms. Bezak has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
