Directed by legendary director John Ford and starring Henry Fonda, Young Mr. Lincoln focuses on Abraham Lincoln’s early life in Illinois and depicts his early years as an attorney, including his unverified relationship with Ann Rutledge and marriage to Mary Todd. Young Mr. Lincoln was adapted as a radio play by Academy Award Theater in 1946 and was the basis for the 2010 musical “Lincoln in Love”, written by Peter S. Kellogg with music by David Friedman.
